Celery Juice Challenge

Some time ago a friend asked my opinion about the "miraculous" celery juice. If you google "celery juice", you will find many blogs about its benefits. One health influencer tells that if you drink it every day you will get rid of many diseases.

I have not found many studies proving that, only people's stories and tests on mice. The studies show that celery is rich in vitamin K, A, C, B2, B6, luteolin and apigenin which reduce inflammation and allergic reactions in the body. Other websites tell about clearer skin, better digestion, less bloating and joint pain.

Over sudden, I wanted to try a challenge and observe the results! Today is the day! I have started. There is lots of organic celery in my fridge. Each morning at least 30 min before breakfast I will make and drink about 16 oz of celery juice.

After 15 days of drinking celery juice. I liked it. I want to do it again for 30 days at the end of the summer. I slept better, I did not get up to go to the bathroom. My digestion has become calmer, clearer skin.

THE PRICE. All life activities have some kind of PRICE. We pay with time, energy and other resources.

It takes about 30+ minutes to prepare and drink the JUICE. I had mine in the morning before breakfast. I planned time ahead and had to stay on schedule. 10 minutes to wash celery, about 7 minutes to juice and drink, 13 minutes to wash the juicer.

I washed celery in the evening and kept in a green plastic bag with a paper towel in the fridge. The first day takes a little more time.

It costs money! I recommend using organic celery. Non-organic CELERY may have too many pesticides depending on the country where you live. If you have to buy non-organic, wash it well with some vegetable soap and a brush.

I spent about $3 per a bunch of celery. It will yield 16 oz of juice. $3 × 15=$45 per a person. (Cut the celery in pieces, it will prevent clogging of the juicer). It takes water to wash the veggies and the juicer. It may affect your water bill.

IS IT WORTH OF DOING? Yes, it is. Even though I cannot tell about the inner changes in my body, I am sure my skin became better and I felt very well after drinking the juice. Definitely I got lots of vitamins and minerals. There is something marvelous about drinking fresh squeezed juice in the morning!
